Using the Nouveau Contour Intelligent machine which is one of the most advanced, computerised, digital machines in the field of permanent cosmetic make up, your special blend of paramedical pigments is introduced into the dermal layer of the skin using specially selected single use needles.

What all this means?
By using the best machine available, with the safest lightest hand piece, single use sterile disposable safety needles and specialist paramedical pigments I can achieve the desired result with the least amount of discomfort and trauma to you, the client.
I will implant the pigment using the tiny needles.
Towards the end of your semi permanent cosmetics treatment we will check your new look, and refine and perfect where necessary.
I will go over the aftercare notes again with you so that you know exactly how to look after and care for the treatment area during the next 7 days and then take a photograph of the treated area for your records.
Then I will apply the initial covering of healing balm to the treated area to help protect it. The balm will be given to you so that you can continue the after-care regime. You will of course be given my contact details so that if you do have any questions or concerns I will be on hand.
I will schedule a follow up appointment for between 4 and 6 weeks.
This appointment is to enable me to assess and make any final adjustments that are necessary. As each client is different it is difficult to know beforehand how much or how little perfecting will be required.
Firstly I carry out a consultation and a pigment sensitivity patch test to ensure you have no allergy to the permanent cosmetic make up pigment or topical anaesthetic. This must be carried out at least 24 hours before the procedure, so if your travelling it may be more convenient for me to post the patch test and pre procedure advice to you prior to the treatment day.
At the consultation we will run through the consent forms, after care regime and your medical history. This is important as your health is of paramount importance. We will discuss what your expectations of permanent cosmetic make up are and how these expectations can be met. At this point I will take a pre treatment photograph so that I have an accurate record before the procedure for comparison.I will then use colour semi permanent cosmetics analysis to assess your skin colour tones. You are welcome to make notes if you have not had a colour analysis before. I will apply a topical anaesthetic to the area to be treated to ensure maximum comfort during the procedure. We will then select the desired colour, blending pigment colours if necessary.
Then, taking into consideration your face shape, facial features and your own individual style I will use cosmetic pencils to design and create your unique look. It is essential that you are completely happy with the shape, the position and the overall look, so we will work on this together. This will be my template for the finished result. I will not commence the procedure until you are completely happy with everything.
![]() | What is permanent cosmetic make up?It is a non surgical, long lasting, beauty treatment which enhances your facial features. It involves using specialist equipment to skilfully introduce special pigments into the dermal layers of the skin. It is normally used to improve and or enhance lips, eyes, eyelashes and eyebrows. Does it hurt? Your comfort is important to me so I use the best possible topical anaesthetic creams to minimise, and in most cases eliminate, any discomfort. How long does it take? The actual semi permanent cosmetics treatment time will vary depending upon the procedure required. I allow a minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes which will include the whole consultation and procedure. |
How long will it last?
This varies from client to client and depends on how well your skin retains the pigment. Exposure to the sun will also affect the strength of pigment colour so it is always advisable to wear a sun screen. Chlorine will fade the pigment colour so prolonged swimming with no waterproof barrier will also affect the colour retention. I would recommend a yearly colour boost to keep the colour looking fresh. If you do not maintain it with a colour boost the colour will gradually fade. Light colours fade quicker than dark so the original choice of colour will also affect the intensity of retention.
Is it safe?
All the permanent cosmetic make up treatments are procedures that are totally safe. All the equipment I use is the best and safest currently available on the market today. The needles used are sterile and individually packaged. I always open them in front of the client. They are intended for one use only and are disposed of safely at the end of each treatment. All the semi permanent cosmetics equipment is covered with disposable protective coverings which are also disposed of at the end of each treatment. The pigments I use are hypo-allergenic, pharmaceutical grade pigments selected for their proven safety and purity.
The colour will be a lot more intense and darker than the chosen colour until the skin naturally exfoliates. This is normally about 7 days. You will then see the actual colour. The treated area may well be slightly swollen, slightly red and tender for a few days.
Can I wear make up afterwards?
I would not recommend that you wear make up for at least 24 hours post treatment. Always use new wands, brushes and combs on any treated area, once healed you can wear as much make up as you desire.
Is there a risk of infection?
I practice a very strict hygiene regime. The treatment area and machinery are disinfected after each client. Only single use sterile needles from sealed packets are used and I always wear sterile gloves to prevent cross contamination. A healing balm is applied to the area after treatment and as long as the client follows the aftercare rules strictly then the risk of infection is minimal.
What if I don't like it?
The professional permanent cosmetic make up consultation will ensure that you are completely happy with the whole process and you will be totally involved every step of the way. If I do not feel that what you are requesting is achievable or that it will not enhance your features then I will not attempt it. I would rather be cautious initially and add to the effect on the retouch appointments when you have had time to see the initial results.
The costs will vary according to the semi permanent cosmetics treatment and the techniques used. Prices include a maximum of two follow up procedures which must be taken within 10 weeks of the initial treatment.
Usually however there is only one retouch procedure required and this should be taken within the first 6 weeks. When compared to other plastic surgery forms it is longer lasting and better value, and when done skilfully can give you a more youthful look.
